Small Business!

So I came across this yesterday on Facebook:

•Kylie Jenner releases a lip gloss, and people buy it. •Michael Jordan puts out a new shoe, people buy it. •Matthew McConaughy is the spokesman for a car and people want it. •Dre has new headphones, people buy them. •Apple releases a new phone and people stand in line for it. •Oprah promotes a weight loss program, everyone jumps on board. •One Direction releases a perfume, it becomes viral on Social Media.

A friend or family member starts a new business, people are wary of buying and supporting them.

I wonder why are we so quick to support someone we don't know, who has plenty of money already. Yet we come up with a million reasons not to support someone we know and love!

When you support small businesses, online or retail, you are helping families you know feed their kids, pay their mortgage, and find happiness and well being! 💛✨💛✨💛✨

It takes a lot of effort for someone to strike up the courage to leave behind the safety of a job and start their own business and then talk to people about it to try to help it grow.

So next time you see a friend posting about their business, either online or traditional, don't keep scrolling give them a quick like or a comment and share, you don't even have to buy the product! It really does help!🙏🏻

Please feel free to share this its so important that we all support small businesses ❤️

It got me thinking. Why do we trust these people that endorse these products? They might be good at what they do (sport, acting, singing), but do they really know anything about the brand that they are advertising? Or are they just getting paid to "like" the brand/product? Do you ever see a celebrity endorsing a product that they are not getting paid to do so? Anyone can have a celebrity endorse their product. You just have to have the cash & a relatively high social media following. There are even apps out there that you can post a product to & those with a high social media following make you an offer to advertise your product. Without even seeing or testing the product first! I know! Crazy huh!? Doesn't it make you think who can we trust? Who can we put our confidence in to point us in the right direction of a reliable product? Well I have came to the conclusion that its only by recommendation. And is why I am asking for your help!

Support your friend, co-worker, family member that have a small business. Give their product a go, like their social pages, share their posts. And if you are truly into their product & think its gold, share their website & be a regular customer. That's how products should be sold!! Its genuine & it works if people support it!!

My goal this year is to only purchase gifts form small businesses, and if I think the product rocks I will share it on my socials, in hope that I might send more business their way. Recommendation is key. I challenge you to do the same!
